Arizona Outdoor Sports has a very active Hunter Education Instructor Team.  This team participates in Hunter Education activities around the state and on their Rio Salado home range.  We are very proud to be part of the nationally highly rated Arizona Hunter Education Program.

Anyone interested in the Arizona Outdoors is encouraged to take a Hunter Education course.  More information and registration applications can be found by clicking AZ G&F Hunter Ed on our link page or on line at azgfd.gov.

Matt Montgomery and familyThe smiles worn by this happy family are a result of making plans for lots of shooting and hunting this next year.  They are graduates of our November, 2015, Hunter Ed class.  The final exam was given in the Arizona Game and Fish Dept conference room of their Mesa Office on University Drive.  They were very impressed with the display of Arizona fish, birds, and other wildlife.  They are now members of the Scholastic Clay Target Program with Arizona Outdoor Sports.  This program offers twice a month shooting opportunity and a year long variety of game camps including turkey, duck, dove, and squirrel.

The SCTP offers shotgun skill building up to and including college teams.  The best of the best are given a chance to try for Olympic level competition.  Every year for 7 years, a few members of our team have been invited to participate in United States Olympic competition at Olympic Village.  Last year, 10 of our athletes competed at Olympic Village.

As SCTP shooters, they will have an opportunity to shoot in the Arizona Commissioner’s Cup championships in trap, skeet, and sporting clays.  The National SCTP championship is held in August.
